Tricity

Gdansk Tricity (Tri-City or Treble City - in Polish "Trojmiasto") is an urban area consisting of three Polish cities: Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot. They are situated in a row, on the coast of the Gdansk Bay, Baltic Sea, in Eastern Pomerania. The Tricity metropolitan area has a population of over 1 million people.

First part of the trip is a walk around Gdansk Old Town area. You will see Torture Tower, Upland Gate, Golden Gate, Green Gate. You will walk along Long Street and Long Market, which are the most beautiful streets of Gdansk. The richest citizens of Gdansk used to live there. Now we can admire colorful facades of old renaissance houses, reconstructed after II World War. Here you will find The Hall of the Main City, The Artus Court and The Neptune Fountain, which is a symbol of Gdansk from 1633 year. After short walk at the Moltawa River you can see The Crane, which used to play double role of port crane and city gate.

A few steps further the largest brick church in the world is placed - gothic majesty - St. Mary Church. It is 105 m long and the main tower is 77,6 m high. Later we will show you house of Lech Walesa, the co-founder of Solidarity, the winner the Nobel Peace Prize and President of Poland from 1990 to 1995. Next stop is Oliwa Cathedral with possible organ presentation. Afterwards you have the opportunity to walk by the Sopot promenade and the longest wooden pier in Europe. Then we will take you to Gdynia – Kościuszko Square, which is a part of the harbour. There you can see sailing ship "Dar Pomorza" and battle ship "Blyskawica".
