We will take you to Malbork Castle, which was built by the Teutonic Order in XIII century. The castle is a classic example of a medieval fortress; it is the world's largest brick gothic castle and one of the most impressive of its kind in Europe, placed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list in 1997. It consists of the High, Middle, and Low Castles, you can admire complicated architecture, large gates and towers. The guide will lead you through the halls, refectory, kitchen, dormitory, chapel. You will get familiar with old times, have the possibility to see the collection of the Past Arms and discover how the medieval system of heating worked. There is also a possibility to see 'The Malbork Amber Collection', artistic handcrafts and jewellery.
The second attraction of the trip is Elblag Canal, over 80 km long. It was designed in XIX century. The difference in water levels approaches 100 m, and is overcome using locks and a remarkable system of tracks between lakes. It is considered one of the most significant monuments related to the history of technology. We will show you a ramp situated in Buczyniec. On request you can take a boat trip along Elblag Canal.
