Are you interested in Jewish history? Do you know that Poland was home to the largest Jewish population in Europe and served as the center for Jewish culture?A diverse population of Jews from all over Europe sought refuge in Poland, contributing to a wide variety of religious and cultural groups. Before the outbreak of World War II, more than 3.3 million Jews lived in Poland, the second largest Jewish community in the world. Barely 11% of population survived the war.

On the “Jews in Cracow” trip we will take you for a walk in Kazimierz district, which was home to the larger part of the Jewish population of Cracow till 1939. Here you will find many synagogues Remuh Synagogue, Izaak’s Synagogue, High and Poper’s Synagogue. You have a chance to visit two of them: Old Synagogue and Tempel Synagogue; and kirkuts (Jewish cemeteries). Our guide will also show you some places, which Steven Spielberg used for location shots of "Schindler's List”. Later you will see Plaszow, the former Nazi Concentration Camp as well.
